The value of movement…
To me the value of movement is priceless. That’s why when Matalan got in touch with me to see if I’d join in with their #ValueOfMovement campaign for their brand new Souluxe activewear range I was very keen to get involved.
I gave the Souluxe range a test run in the gym and just wanted to give a few of my thoughts on the value of movement and why I want you guys to be moving more.
This month I’ve been on my travels visiting Dubai and just returning from Italy but before I went away to enjoy some sun in Dubai I had been hitting the gym hard and playing lots of football to help get me in shape. Whilst doing this I gave the Souluxe Menswear collection from Matalan a test run and was super impressed. New gym gear always gets me a bit more motivated to get in the gym and it was no difference with this range. The light feeling of the t-shirt really impressed me and it’s something I would wear on a weights day in the gym but also if I was football training. So, it’s a great fit for all types of exercise. The tracksuit bottoms are super comfy and of a great quality. It really feels like Matalan have put a lot of thought into creating something perfect for the journey to the gym and also whilst actually in the gym, allowing you to move with more freedom. It’s as if you aren’t even wearing bottoms the way they give you the ability to move to your full potential not leaving you restricted in what exercises you can do. When it comes to the footwear I train in I’m even more picky as they not only complete your gym outfit with a stylish edge but they can be the difference between being able to put your absolute all in and not quite being able to because your feet are too uncomfortable.

WHY YOU SHOULD MOVE MORE
I can’t stress how important it is for us to be getting up and about. Not just for us physically but mentally too. As I mentioned I had been to Dubai and Italy and both of those holidays I relaxed and laid around in the sun. Yes, I’ve come home feeling re-energised and with a clear mind but I really couldn’t wait to get back in the gym and playing football again because I know how great regular exercise makes me feel. I can be having a day where I may be lacking motivation but I just know once I have worked out I will feel like a new man and my motivation and mind is in a much better place.
Physical activity can improve your health and not just only that it can reduce the risk of developing several diseases like type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Exercise can have immediate and long-term healty benefits and will really improve your quality of life.
So, what I want you to do today, not tomorrow, today! Is do some sort of movement that gets your heart rate increased and something that will leave you feeling much better afterwards. Now, you don’t have to go crazy in the gym it can simply be a nice long walk, some sit ups in your living room or even a trip to your local swimming pool. It really doesn’t have to be extreme but adding any new piece of exercise into your daily life will have a great impact on your health and life ahead.
